Establishing a legal entity

To start a business in Serbia, it is necessary:

-         to register at the Serbian Business Registers Agency and obtain the identification number from the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia,

-         to obtain tax identification number (TIN) from the Tax Administration

-         to register as VAT taxpayer and obtain VAT number from the Tax Administration,

-         to open an account at the corresponding business bank,

-         to register at the Republic Institute for pension, disability and health insurance.  ,

-         register in the Register of employers kept by Tax Administration (if there are employees)

Upon the registration at the Serbian Business Registers Agency, i.e. upon submitting the application – request for registration of the business entity and obtaining the decision on registration, it is necessary to perform the following activities:

• ID number

• Make a seal

• Tax Identification Number (TIN)

• Registration of VAT taxpayers

• Open the account at the business bank – required documentation

• Registration of policyholders and beneficiaries of health, pension and disability insurance

• Registration at the Register of Employees

• Performance of foreign trade
