Development Fund of the Republic of Serbia

Development Fund of the Republic of Serbia is a state fund which business is regulated by the Law on Development of the Republic of Serbia. The goals of the Fund are:

-         support to balanced regional development including the development of underdeveloped areas

-         support to business of legal entities and entrepreneurs in the Republic of Serbia

-         support to competitiveness and liquidity of economy of the Republic of Serbia

-         support to employment

-         support to production of goods for export

-         support to development of infrastructure

The Fund mainly achieves these objectives by giving loans to economy or providing guarantees and entering into the ownership of business entities.

Priority in the use of funds have:

-         Programs providing new jobs,

-         Programs supporting the production for export ,

-         Programs providing a higher level of designed profitability, i.e. greater economic effects per unit of investment and faster return of investment,

-         Investment programs in the field of industry, processing capacities in the filed of agriculture sector and service sector,

-         Programs providing the use of new technology,

-         Programs providing greater energy efficiency,

-         Programs that have grater share of their own funds under the same conditions in the funding structure in relation to the Fund

-         Programs of small entrepreneurs and craft shops that will generate higher annual revenue and provide a greater number of newly employed by engaging credit fund of the Fund.

The most common form of providing loans for business entities and entrepreneurs are: short-term and long –term loans for working capital for business entities, loans for supporting the balanced regional development and development of entrepreneurship, star-up loans, loans for old crafts
