Support to self-employment includes the funds that unemployed can realize for self-employment. Funds for self-employment are granted in the form of subsidies for purchase of capital assets, adaptation of business premises, raw materials, production materials, and spare parts required for the implementation of business program (business plan).

With the aim to strengthen the international competitiveness of the Serbian economy through strong support to the process of internationalization and strengthening the competitive capacities of domestic companies and associations, the Investment and Export Promotion Agency of the Republic of Serbia (SIEPA) awards grants for the sixth year for funding activities that contribute to increase export from the Republic of Serbia.

National Agency for Regional Development implements the programs of financial support to the sector of small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurship. The goal of the program is to provide direct support to development of enterprises through participation in funding the costs for consulting services (development of business plans, market researches, certification and standardization, improvement of production processes, introduction of new quality systems, and implementation of innovations).

Ministry of Economy and Regional Development of Serbia announced a public call for grants to support the development of innovative clusters and small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurs for strengthening innovation.

The objectives of measures to support development of innovative clusters are to strengthen capacities of enterprises for technological development and innovations through partnership between enterprises and establishment of strategic partnership in order to increase the volume and value of the of turnover of enterprises in domestic and foreign market, as well as establishment of cooperation with clusters in the region and preparation for joint projects.
